Tuition and Scholarships

Tuition

In general the tuition fees for foreigners are the same as for Lebanese, except

  1. In the framework of a bilateral accord between USJ and another university, the registration fees are completely taken care of if there is reciprocity (if a student of USJ goes to the other university.) If there is no reciprocity the student is reimbursed 50%.
  2. In the framework of a tripartite convention with the AUF (Association of Francophone Universities), the tuition fees are assumed by USJ

Scholarships

The university has established a fund for scholarships for non Lebanese candidates residing in foreign countries. The fund is provided with about 100,000 USD per annum.

The scholarships comprise two parts

- a part processed according to internal procedures covering totally or in part tuition and various administrative fees: lodging in the USJ Residence, assurance, residence permit, handling of files, examination fees;

- a part taken care of by the student in the form of a 300 USD per month forfeit to cover the cost of living for a period depending on the number of months for study with a ceiling of 10 months.
Remark: In the framework of an accord with AUF, the residence and living costs are assured by AUF.

Granting of Scholarships

Candidates for scholarships – excepting those concerned with Faculties and Institutes with  entrance exams or admission based on the file – should have started university studies, satisfied the French language requirements and can:
- either select between 30 – 50% of the credits for a program of the 1st  cycle
- or apply for 2nd or 3rd cycle.
They are awarded the scholarship on the basis of their file.

The file should include:
- a transcript of marks,
- a certified copy of any university diploma attained,
- a description of the subjects in the program followed,
- a letter explaining their reason for applying,
- two letters of recommendation from two teachers of their university of origin,
- a medical file.

The reply of the university is sent to the candidates at the end of April or the end of October.

To submit a request for a scholarship, address your file to the attention of the
