Normally all students, foreigners included, are subject to the same conditions.
Initial program of Licentiate
A Lebanese baccalaureate degree or the equivalent delivered by the national Commission for Equivalence at the Ministry of Education and Higher Studies allows a student to register at USJ. The French baccalaureate, the International baccalaureate, the Abitur and the “Thanawiyya ‘Amma” are automatically recognized by the Commission.
Classification in category A in the French language aptitude test, except for candidates in the Institute of Oriental Letters and the Institute for Islamo-Christian Studies.
Advanced program requirements
The candidate in the program or the one ambitioning higher studies should present to the concerned institution of USJ a file containing the following documents:
a letter stating clearly the formation he/she wishes to follow and the reasons for this decision;
a certified photocopy of official equivalence of the diploma for secondary studies (to be obtained from the Lebanese Ministry of Education and Higher Studies);
an attestation of registration and a transcript of marks received in each academic year completed;
a detailed description of each course, including the number of teaching hours;
a certified photocopy of the university diploma received;
a certified photocopy of the official recognition of the diploma by the Lebanese Ministry of Education and Higher Studies;
While waiting for official equivalence from the Ministry, the candidate may submit his/her file to the concerned institution. Whatever the reply, it will be conditional and the final status will be subject to obtaining these documents.
The conditions for admission are the same for all students Lebanese and foreign.
