Who we are:

USJ Mentor Unit is a unit created within Saint-Joseph University of Beirut (USJ) in partnership with Catholic Relief Services (CRS), in order to support nascent and renewed civil society organizations, and to develop and strengthen their capacities, through an institutional strengthening program funded by The Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI).
Mentor Unit members are qualified professionals, combining the knowledge and the expertise of two academic institutions within USJ: The Faculty of Business Administration and Management (FGM) and The Lebanese School of Social Work (ELFS).

What we aim to:

USJ Mentor Unit aims to develop a vibrant civil society in Lebanon that effectively contributes to sustainable development, and promotes participatory democracy.               

What we do:

USJ Mentor Unit provides institutional strengthening support for nascent and renewed CSO partners, throughout Lebanon, to enable them to develop their full potential, at the managerial and financial levels.
In the framework of the Institutional Strengthening Program, USJ Mentor Unit offers:

  • A participatory assessment of CSOs internal capacities
  • General training sessions and workshops
  • Ongoing mentoring and coaching
  • Networking  opportunities

Specifically designed to meet the needs of each nascent CSO partner.
