Awards Ceremony - School Entrepreneurship Competition

The Faculty of Business Administration and Management (FGM) was pleased to welcome a group of students from 50 schools that participated in the School Competition in Entrepreneurship launched by the Faculty in April 2021, during a ceremony held on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at the Campus of Social Sciences.

In the presence of the Rector of Saint Joseph University, Prof. Salim Daccache s.j., the board members of the Association of Lebanese Business People in the World (RDCL World) which sponsored the competition, and the school officials and students, FGM succeeded in fulfilling one of its main missions which is to create synergies and complementarities between the three pillars of Lebanon's rehabilitation and restructuring: schools, universities, and companies.

During the ceremony, prizes were awarded to the three winning teams:

- 1st prize: Chris Daccach and Karl Hajjar, Sœurs des Saints Cœurs Sioufi, project: BIOPAY

- 2nd prize: Marie Thérèse Halaby and Emma Sleiman, Sœurs des Saints Cœurs Ain Najm, project: BANGOO

- 3rd prize: Elodie Dirani, Angela Khweiry, Rayan Rtail and Lynn Salman, Collège des Pères Antonins Baabda, project: KHEBZETNA

Each of the participants received a certificate of participation.

This competition was organized by the Recruitment Committee of FGM. The jury was composed of: Dr. Mary-Ann Barbour Rassi, Dr. Layal Bou Antoun, Dr. Naji Bejjani and Mr. Khaled Tayara, who studied all 105 projects submitted.

During the ceremony, special thanks were given to the members of RDCL World for their support and presence, as well as to all the school leaders for the guidance and support they provided to their students.

Congratulations to the students and future entrepreneurs who participated and who gave us hope for the future of Lebanon.
