Nutrition and frailty among the elderly.

Dr. Catherine Féart received her PhD in Food Sciences and Nutrition from the University of Bordeaux (France) in 2004. In addition, she obtained her Master of Science degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Bordeaux School of Public Health (ISPED) in 2005. Catherine Féart is currently researcher in the team “Lifelong Exposures Health and Aging” from the Bordeaux Population Health Research Center, from the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM). She has published that a greater adherence to a Mediterranean-type diet was associated with slower cognitive decline and lower risk for frailty in French older individuals. She is also involved in a European project about the biomarkers of frailty useful for the diagnosis of frailty and its management.
