Béryte is the university theater of the Institute of Theater, Audiovisual and Cinematographic Studies (IESAV). It was founded in 2000 when the Campus of Humanities was built on Damascus Street. It is also a cinematographic and audiovisual projection room. The theater aims to encourage the creativity and production of young students in the following disciplines: theater, music, singing, dance, poetry reading, pantomime, movie screening, and the production of videos or multimedia works on the computer.
Monot Theater is a private theater that the community of Jesuit Fathers in Lebanon created in 1997. It is a professional theater with a rich and varied schedule, so much so that it has become a major part of the Beirut cultural scene. Ever since its establishment, it has been the target of much local, Arab, and Western activity, such as plays, dances, concerts, storytelling festivals, exhibitions, and Lebanese film clubs, among others.
