This course equips students with the essential knowledge and practical skills required for film programming and cultural event management. It provides a comprehensive understanding of how to select, contextualize, and present films for diverse audiences. The curriculum guides students through an in-depth examination of the landscape of major film festivals in Egypt and globally, alongside other vital film initiatives. Furthermore, the course fosters engagement with experienced programmers, filmmakers, event managers, and organizers, offering invaluable insights from industry professionals. The course works towards and culminates in the development and execution of a night of screenings curated by each student team, on the theme and at a venue of their choosing.
