Introduction to global public health aspects of mental health, neurological and substance use disorders

At the end of this module the student will be able to: 1- Understand public health concept and the importance of it 2- Understand the Impact of the global burden of mental, neurological and substance use disorders 3- Use global evidence around the burden, cost, and effective intervention in their work to develop new mental health services 4- Understand the impact of social determinants on Mental Health 5- Understand the inter-dependence between physical and mental health 6- Use WHO tools for mental health such as WHO Action plan highlighting bio-psychosocial model and recovery approach, mhGAP, etc.
