The objective of this course is to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the responsibilities and challenges associated with the role of a sworn translator in Lebanon. It is designed to encompass a wide range of scenarios in which sworn translators are often engaged. Students will gain familiarity with the translation of commonly encountered documents in Lebanon, such as civil status certificates, commercial register documentation, criminal records, property deeds, among others. Beyond translation, the course places a significant emphasis on honing skills in deciphering handwritten texts and mastering page layout. This emphasis is particularly crucial given the sworn translator's imperative to deliver meticulous and polished work within stringent time constraints. Through this comprehensive approach, students will not only acquire linguistic proficiency but also develop the practical skills necessary for success in the demanding field of sworn translation.
