On June 3, 2019, the late Mr. Jacques Jabbour kindly dedicated part of his estate to of Beirut.

Having lived in Paris for a long time, Mr. Jabbour attended the Jesuits' high school in Syria and established close ties with them.

The University, through its Rector Prof. Salim Daccache s.j., established an endowment fund called “Jacques Jabbour Scholarship Fund” to promote the advancement of higher-education and to keep the memory of Mr. Jacques Jabbour alive. Beneficiaries of the Fund will be selected by the Department of Financial Aid of the University, following a double academic and social criterion.
