Believe in yourselves. Be open to life. Find strength in pain.

For the very first time, I would like to bring my professional journey to life.

I am Sarah Francis a freshly graduated translator from USJ, Beirut.

I obtained my master's degree in banking and business translation in 2019. My journey was really pleasant. I enjoyed every single detail about it. I was lucky to meet extraordinary friends and exceptional teachers. Those years were the best of my life; they gave me all what I need to advance in my career.

Unfortunately, life has different plans than ours. Since then, due to the circumstances of the country, I decided to deviate from the field of languages in order to join the pharmaceutical one, that of my Mother.

So I have been practicing this profession for 3 years now. However, I discovered that this environment fascinates me enormously.

I wanted to acquire as much information as possible. I have never stopped asking about the details of this major and was thirsting for new knowledge.

Sadly, an unexpected event arised in February 2021: The death of my mother. This catastrophe accelerated my decision to go deeper into this profession in order to continue my mom’s legacy.

A year has passed; it was full of challenges, emotions, difficulties and obstacles. Being a manager at the age of 24 may be attractive, but I assure you, it is a very hard responsibility. However, I didn’t give up, never did I. I found strength in pain and doubled my efforts in order to keep the business family in the extremely hard local circumstances.

I did it. Despite everything, I did it. I succeeded in managing a business far from my basic major. Yet, I didn’t stop translating or teaching languages.

Today I am a different Sara. I can surely say that I am proud of the person I am today. I went from a broken heart to a lion’s heart.

I am writing this today, to tell you that you can all be successful regardless of the intensity of pain you faced.

Believe in yourselves. Be open to life. Find strength in pain.
