值此黎巴嫩圣约瑟夫大学孔子学院成立十五年之际，我们谨代表沈阳师范大学向海内外为黎巴嫩圣约瑟夫大学孔子学院建设和发展做出贡献的全体师生员工致以亲切的问候和良好的祝愿，向多年来关心支持黎巴嫩圣约瑟夫大学孔子学院发展的黎巴嫩各界人士和朋友表示衷心的感谢！

黎巴嫩圣约瑟夫大学孔子学院建于2006年，是中东地区建立的第一所孔子学院，也是黎巴嫩唯一一所孔子学院，建院十五年以来，在贵校的支持下，黎巴嫩圣约瑟夫大学孔子学院在服务当地中文学习需求以及推动中国和黎巴嫩人文交流、人民友好方面发挥了无可替代的作用，搭建了中黎文化互鉴的交流平台。在此，我们代表沈阳师范大学向黎巴嫩圣约瑟夫大学多年来的支持与帮助表示诚挚的感谢。目前，孔子学院累计注册学员人数4500余人，召开各类文化活动百余场，累计受众人数达万余人。2016年10月，黎巴嫩圣约瑟夫大学孔子学院举办“一带一路”论坛，围绕“中黎交流史”和“一带一路与文明复兴”做了专题讲座，多家国内外媒体以“阿拉伯国家‘汉语传播先行者’”为题对此次活动进行了专题报道，充分体现了黎巴嫩圣约瑟大学孔子学院在促进了中黎人文交流、文明互鉴、民心相通所做出的突出贡献。

在这十五年的发展历程中，孔子学院的发展得到了黎巴嫩圣约瑟夫大学、中国驻黎巴嫩大使馆、中资机构、在黎华人、维和部队以及黎巴嫩社会各界人士和当地媒体的关注和支持，借此机会，由衷的表示感谢和敬意！

2020年是极其不平凡且艰难的一年，全球新冠疫情、黎巴嫩金融危机、港口爆炸等为孔子学院的工作带来了种种困难，但在一切困难面前，孔院人都用行动传递着众志成城、共克时艰的精神力量。

站在2021年新的起点上，让我们携手并肩，同心同德，积极推动孔子学院深化改革，大力促进国际中文教育高质量发展，发挥双方办学优势，为黎巴嫩民众提供更加优质、便捷的汉语学习服务和文化交流体验平台，培养更多熟悉中黎国情的优秀人才，构建中黎友好交往平台，为推动中黎人文交流、讲好中黎友好故事、构建人类命运共同体作出更大的贡献。

On the occasion of the 15^th anniversary of the establishment of the Confucius Institute of Saint Joseph University in Lebanon, on behalf of Shenyang Normal University, we would like to extend our greetings and good wishes to all teachers, students and staff who have contributed to the construction and development of the Confucius Institute, and also our heartfelt thanks to Lebanese people and friends from all walks of life who have cared and supported the development of the Confucius Institute of Saint Joseph University in Lebanon!

The Confucius Institute of Saint Joseph University was established in 2006, and it was the first Confucius Institute established in the Middle East and the only Confucius Institute in Lebanon. Since its establishment 15 years ago, with the support of your distinguished university, the Confucius Institute of Saint Joseph University has played an irreplaceable role in serving local Chinese learning needs and promoting cultural exchanges and the friendship between China and Lebanon, and has built a platform for cultural exchanges between these two countries. Here, on behalf of Shenyang Normal University, we’d like to express our sincere gratitude to Saint Joseph University for its support and help over the years. At present, the Confucius Institute has accumulatively registered more than 4,500 students, has held more than 100 cultural events of various kinds, and has a cumulative audience of more than 10,000 people.

In October 2016, the Confucius Institute of Saint Joseph University held the “Belt and Road Initiative” forum, giving lectures on “The History of China-Lebanon Exchanges” and “The Belt and Road and the Rejuvenation of Civilization”. Many domestic and foreign media reported on this event with the title of “Pioneer of Chinese Education in Arabic Countries”, which fully demonstrated the outstanding contribution made by the Confucius Institute of Saint Joseph University in promoting cultural exchanges between China and Lebanon, mutual learning between civilizations, and people-to-people bonds.

In the past 15 years of development, the development of the Confucius Institute of Saint Joseph University has won the attention and support of Saint Joseph University, the Chinese Embassy in Lebanon, Chinese-funded institutions, Chinese people in Lebanon, peacekeeping forces, people from all walks of life in Lebanon and local media, so we’d like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude and respect to you all!

2020 is an extremely extraordinary and difficult year. The Covid-19 pandemic, the financial crisis in Lebanon, and the port explosions in Beirut have brought various difficulties to the work of the Confucius Institute of Saint Joseph University in Lebanon, but we overcome difficulties together with spiritual power.

Standing at a new starting point in 2021, let us join hands and work together to actively promote the deepening of the reform of Confucius Institutes, vigorously promote the high-quality development of international Chinese education, and give full play to the advantages of both sides in running schools to provide Lebanese people with high-quality and convenient Chinese learning service and cultural exchange experience platform, cultivate more outstanding talents who are familiar with the national conditions of China and Lebanon, build a platform for friendly exchanges, and make greater contributions to promote cultural exchanges, to share stories about China-Lebanon friendship, and to build a community with a shared future for mankind.

Let us join hands to march on a new journey after fifteen years of marvelous cooperation, carry forward the cause and forge ahead into the future, and strive for more brilliance!
