The Siren Associates Scholarship

For studies at the University of East Anglia, England accompanied by a paid internship in the Beirut office of the NGO
2022/2023

The Siren Associates Scholarship is available to applicants who are of Lebanese nationality, who were born in and who are a resident of Lebanon, and also to Palestinian nationals, and nationals of other countries, who are currently resident in Lebanon. Applicants must be enrolled on the MA Conflict, Governance and International Development course at UEA as a full-time student.

Siren Associates Ltd is a not-for-profit organisation that works across the Middle East on a range of security sector and public sector reform programming. Based in Lebanon and Jordan, they design and implement projects that bring about positive change in the systems, processes and capabilities of civil security and broader public sector institutions. 

The aim of the scholarship is to provide financial support and the opportunity of an international educational experience to a talented and motivated student who is interested in these issues and who can demonstrate a clear wish to build their career in this sector in Lebanon post-graduation.

The opportunity for a paid internship with Siren Associates Ltd in Beirut will be offered to the successful scholar, and may be taken either as a Development Work Placement module during the one year of study, or immediately after the completion of the course. This will be by interview with Siren Associates.
