IESAV alumni sharing their experience and knowledge in cinema and theatre with USJ students

Bridge to Art USJ is a student initiative whose objective is to help students stay connected with arts events happening in Lebanon and creating an engaged art community at USJ. In the framework of the Online Cultural Program 2022 organized by the Student Life Department, BTA presented, in collaboration with Cinema & Theatre Club USJ, two informative sessions about cinema and theatre which were given by IESAV alumni, Marianne Merhi (Freelance Line Producer, residing in Riyadh) and Jennifer Khater (Actress, residing in Italy).

The first session: How much does a producer really know about his/her job? took place with Marianne Merhi on Wednesday 23rd of March 2022 at 7:30pm via Zoom. During this session, Marianne gave an overview on the different roles in a production team, a general brief on production in cinema/commercials, its importance, its mission, possible obstacles and how to face them.

The second session: Acting Technics and Methods took place with Jennifer Khater on Friday, April 29, 2022, at 7:30pm via Zoom. During this session, Jennifer gave an overview on different Acting Techniques such as:

  • The Stanislavski system or method
  • Lee Strasberg Method
  • Stella Adler
  • Meisner Technique
  • Chekhov's technique
  • Chubbuck Technique
