The Institute for Scenic, Audiovisual and Cinematographic Studies (IESAV), guest of honor at the Contact International Student Film Festival (Izmir, Turkey)!
The Institute for Scenic, Audiovisual and Cinematographic Studies (IESAV) was the guest of honor at the Contact International Student Film Festival (Izmir, Turkey) organized by Yasar University.
A 90-minute screening was organized and included movies from IESAV alumni, in the presence of the authors.
The films that were screened are For you, in silence by Afaf Steitieh (January 2022 promotion), Time Loop by Rita Abi Raad (graduated in January 2022), Talk to me by Ribal Chedid (graduated in January 2022). In addition, Room 16 by Dany Saliba (graduated in January 2021), was shown during the opening ceremony of the festival.
Also, IESAV teachers, Mr. Toufic El Khoury (director of the institute) and Mr. Hady Zaccak (Coordinator of the B.A. programs) were invited to give seminars to Yasar University’s students: Mr. Zaccak’s seminar was entitled Documenting Lebanese History, and Mr. El-Khoury’s seminar was entitled Shared storytelling and writing in critical contexts.
