Your Film Proposal is a window to all your film project aspects. It is the most complete way to pitch your film. It establishes project’s understanding, credibility, planning, expectations and helps raise support, collaborations, and financing.

Description:

“Writing your successful film Proposal” workshop is designed for emerging filmmakers and producers to establish knowledge with Film project written materials. The workshop consists of online 4-hour sessions over 5 days.

Throughout the workshop, a number of tutorials will be showcased with an in-depth focus on creating the written and the oral pitches, proposal elements, insights on funds submissions, alongside factual examples and case studies for both documentary and narrative films.

Participants will be provided with tools to produce film proposals capable of moving their projects and careers forward.

Level: Bac+3 | Beginner and Intermediate

Eligibility: the workshop is designed for writers, directors, producers, or anyone interested in the film business. Candidates should have produced at least one academic or professional short film or video from any genre or have written an academic or professional script or content for a video production.

Biography of producer Jana Wehbe:

Jana Wehbe is an award-winning film producer. She studied filmmaking at IESAV- Université Saint-Joseph de Beyrouth and oriental modern singing at the Lebanese National High Conservatory. In 2009, she co-founded ‘The Attic’ productions with like-minded film professionals. Jana debut producing career started with “2 1⁄2” winner of FIPRESCI Award at DIFF 2010. She went on producing feature documentaries and fiction films along with line-producing several co-productions. In 2011, Jana joined the Doha Film Institute as part of the institute’s annual festivals team where she serves as Projects in development industry manager. She also acts as projects coach in labs and workshops and as professor teaching producing academically. Jana acted as the Arab Film Institute’s representative in Lebanon. In addition to her expertise in music artist management, Jana has been diversifying her interests and is bringing productions to theater and musical stages. Jana was recently selected amongst 4 other Arab female filmmakers to receive the 1st NETFLIX-AFAC Equity fund. She is currently REEF’s Festival Executive director (Rural Encounters on Environment and Films).
