In the framework of the Continuing Learning Program, IESAV organizes the “Found Footage Futures” – Exploring Analog Ghosts and Cinematic Experimentation Workshop, led by Chantal Partamian.
This workshop on found footage cinema explores the aesthetic and technical aspects of reusing archival images, focusing on the ghosts of analog media like VHS and Hi-8, while considering Lebanon’s media landscape of the past 40 years. Through re-photography, transfers, and glitch techniques, participants will create short experimental essays, investigating the artistic gesture and emotional responses embedded in these repurposed images.
