On May 14, 2025, the Chair of “Fondation Diane” for Education on Eco-citizenship and Sustainable Development (CEEDD) held the closing ceremony of its Certificate Program in Sustainable Businesses Leading to Economic Growth, at the Campus des Sciences Humaines (CSH) of Université Saint-Joseph de Beyrouth (USJ), in the Salle Polyvalente.

The event brought together around twenty professionals and entrepreneurs who successfully completed the training program, designed to equip participants with practical knowledge in sustainability, innovation, and responsible entrepreneurship.

The ceremony was marked by the presence of the Rector of USJ, Father Salim Daccache s.j., Dr. Diana Fadel, President and Founder of Fondation Diane, and Pr. Fadi El Hage, Chairholder of the CEEDD. Their opening remarks emphasized the urgency of integrating environmental responsibility and social impact into the core of economic development models.

A panel discussion followed, featuring insights from renowned experts: Dr. Hasan Younes, Dr. Ursula El Hage, Ms. Carla Saba, and Ms. Sophie Mansour. The exchange between panelists and participants highlighted the relevance of sustainable practices and the potential of green business models to foster long-term prosperity.

After the distribution of certificates, the ceremony concluded with video testimonials from two participants, reflecting on their learning journey and future engagement as agents of change.

This initiative reinforces CEEDD’s mission to cultivate a new generation of sustainability-driven leaders and to contribute actively to a greener and more inclusive economy.
