After leading Lebanon’s university rankings for the fourth consecutive year, the Saint Joseph University of Beirut (USJ) is now making its mark globally.

At the 44^th International Sports Festival in Turkey, our athletes delivered outstanding performances, impressing competitors from 24 countries and sparking curiosity about the university behind their success.

The badminton team swept every category, men’s and women’s singles and doubles, as well as mixed doubles, bringing home 5 gold, 4 silver, and 3 bronze medals.

The tennis team matched that success, winning every match and earning 3 golds and 1 silver.

In a standout moment, USJ’s cheerleading team took first place, finishing ahead of Serbia and Bulgaria with a performance that captivated both the audience and the judges.

The men’s volleyball team earned bronze after a strong run, while the men’s basketball team finished fourth.

USJ’s table tennis players also stood out, claiming first and third in the men’s division.

These results confirm USJ’s national leadership and highlight its growing status on the international stage.
