USJ Dubai Hosts Second Annual IP Moot Court with Leading Partners

June 17, 2025

For the second year in a row, an Intellectual Property (IP) Moot Court was jointly organized by Saint Joseph University Dubai, the UAE Ministry of Economy, and Gulf Brand Protection Group, in collaboration with the French Embassy's INPI and the sponsorship of Osha BWB IP MENA Region. This event brought together teams from various schools in Dubai who showcased their advocacy skills, legal reasoning and in-depth understanding of intellectual property law through a simulated case.

Through this competition, more than 120 students had the opportunity to demonstrate their advocacy skills.

The finalist schools were hosted at the DIFC Courts, where they had the unique opportunity to present their arguments before a distinguished panel of judges. This not only elevated the level of competition but also offered students a rare glimpse into the workings of an internationally recognized commercial court.

The competition was a true celebration of intellectual property, legal talent and academic collaboration, reaffirming the commitment of Saint Joseph University Dubai and its partners to fostering excellence in legal education and preparing students for the evolving legal challenges of modern legal practice.
