Empowering Changemakers through Social Entrepreneurship. Thanks to SE.TC!
As part of the SE.TC Erasmus+ project (Social Entrepreneurship Training for Change), the USJ Business School (FGM) organized two dynamic workshops on Social Entrepreneurship, one in Zahle-Bekaa and the other in Beirut at the Social Sciences campus.
With more than 60 participants from diverse academic and professional backgrounds, the workshops offered a rich, 7-module program covering essential topics such as social innovation, financial sustainability, business modeling for impact, and ethical entrepreneurship.
Funded by Erasmus+, the SE.TC project aims to build the capacity of higher education institutions in the Euro-Mediterranean region by equipping students and young professionals with the skills and mindset needed to create sustainable, socially responsible ventures. It fosters international collaboration, encourages inclusive learning, and promotes active citizenship through entrepreneurship.
In Zahle, the sessions opened with a special prerequisite module tailored for non-finance participants, while the Beirut edition adopted a flexible evening modular format to accommodate working participants. Both formats encouraged collaboration, critical thinking, and hands-on project development, guided by experienced USJ professors.
The impact was real, from business ideas to community initiatives, the participants came out energized and inspired.
