In a world where crises demand coordinated and compassionate action, USJ has launched the University Diploma in Humanitarian Solidarities, International Crises, and Cooperation. Fully taught in English and developed in partnership with the Bioforce Institute and the Department of International Cooperation of Monaco, this one-year program combines theory and practice to equip future leaders with the skills to respond effectively to global challenges. The diploma carries 20 academic credits and offers scholarship opportunities, creating a practical pathway for those ready to move from interest to impact.
Meeting Humanitarian Challenges with Purpose
Imagine a future where every crisis, natural disaster, conflict, or pandemic, is met not by chaos, but by coordinated, compassionate action led by skilled professionals. What if you were one of those architects of hope?
More than just an academic program, the University Diploma in Humanitarian Solidarities, Crises International and Cooperation is a powerful call to action designed to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to face the world’s most urgent humanitarian challenges.
Why Leadership Matters
Effective leadership is essential in responding to today’s humanitarian challenges, where complex crises demand insight, strategic thinking, and coordinated action. This diploma emphasizes the role of leadership in driving initiatives that deliver sustainable and meaningful solutions. Participants will learn to assess complicated situations, navigate diverse stakeholders, and implement strategies that promote resilience and long-term impact.
Over the course of an intensive one-year program, combining academic rigor with practical experience, participants will develop the skills to make informed decisions and guide projects in high-pressure, dynamic environments. By bridging knowledge and practice, the diploma empowers emerging leaders to transform ideas into tangible results, demonstrating why strong, capable leadership is crucial in the humanitarian and international cooperation fields.
From Classrooms to Frontlines
Classes are delivered online and on-site twice a week, totaling over 200 hours of training, and conclude with a final project that translates learning into actionable solutions. Participants will gain exposure to real-world scenarios while engaging with international expertise and professional networks.
Shifting the Mindset for Sustainable Action
The program aims to fundamentally change how humanitarian aid is viewed and delivered. Instead of limiting efforts to short-term emergency relief, it encourages students to think strategically about building lasting resilience and sustainable progress.
Throughout the course, participants will analyze the origins and wide-ranging effects of crises, emphasizing the importance of coordinated action among all involved parties. They will also develop the expertise to create and lead cooperation projects that prioritize both effectiveness and ethical innovation for meaningful, long-term impact.
Leaders in Action
The first cohort, carefully selected for their dedication to addressing humanitarian challenges and advancing international cooperation, is now underway. Selection involved a thorough evaluation of applications, followed by two online interviews, ensuring that participants bring both motivation and the potential to contribute meaningfully to the program and the broader humanitarian field.
Taking the Lead in Crisis Response
This initiative reflects USJ’s commitment to educating leaders who serve society with knowledge, compassion, and integrity. It embodies the University’s mission to turn challenges into opportunities, foster resilience, and make a meaningful impact in communities worldwide.
