Sports Arbitration Moot – Call for Applications

1. Overview:
The Sports Arbitration Moot is a competition focused on sports arbitration, with oral pleadings conducted in English. It is primarily held online via Zoom, except for the final stages of the competition. If the team qualifies from the online rounds, the subsequent rounds will take place in Madrid, providing an exceptional international experience. Participants also benefit from the SAM Camp, an online training program covering arbitration, sports law, and advocacy techniques.


2. Objective:
The main goal of the competition is to provide students with practical training in oral advocacy, to develop their understanding of sports arbitration, and to apply their knowledge of sports law in a real-world, international setting.


3. Partners:
The competition is organized in partnership with FIFA, the Swiss Arbitration Academy, and leading law firms in the field, offering participants exposure to prestigious institutions and professionals.


4. Student Support:
Students will be guided by experienced coaches, who are former FDSP students with both theoretical and practical expertise in arbitration and/or sports law, ensuring comprehensive support throughout the competition.
