Two senior representatives of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in Bonn, Germany, Dr. Christian Hülshörster, Director for scholarships Southern Hemisphere, Mrs. Claudia Garbers, Team Lead for North Africa & Near East as well Mrs. Carolina Teworte, First Secretary, Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Beirut and Mrs. Darim Khouja, visited USJ in December 4th 2025.
A meeting was held with Dr. Gina Abi Fadel Saad, Dean of the Faculty of languages, Mrs. Athina Makri Saab Coordinator for Foreign Languages and Mrs. Gladys Zein El-Hayek Coordinator – Vice-rectorate for International Relations, to discuss the possible re-establishment of a DAAD-sponsored lectureship.
The meeting had been extended with Mr. Jihad Nammour, Academic Coordinator of the Programme for Arab Master in Democracy and Human Rights, exploring potential future collaborations.
