Colored or white,
plain or lined,
a paper is always a good start.
Silent in its kind,
it is the first to know what is on your mind.
It may sit without a scratch,
peacefully waiting for some flavor and rhyme,
for it is when your pen tickles its surface,
that it finds its perfect match.
A simple encounter though it may seem,
tell me in a world devoid of writing,
how would you feel.
It is a powerful bridge of words,
telling the story of forgotten worlds,
defrosting stories on hold,
fearing to remain untold.
A paper’s whisper comes into play,
providing history its way,
so that no chapter withers away.
Heavy feelings weigh less when jotted down,
the only remedy for you not to drown,
a type of therapy they say,
when not a soul can save the day.
When words said out loud sting,
it is your pen that sings,
a waltz of emotion,
woven to make up for the unspoken.
The moment speech feels impossible,
the written word becomes invincible,
your safest haven,
when your heart is stricken.
A simple idea sprouts from a single line,
frail and shy, but when given time,
it turns out just fine!
Life’s ups and downs are pretty much,
and no one can bear a stress as such,
a penned note helps you remember,
when your memory starts to surrender.
There is no wonder how much can be said in silence,
the perfect balance between a thought and a sentence.
A handful of words with some styling,
accompanied by a good deal of feeling,
are what give voice to the beauty of writing.
