As part of the EMT network, ETIB-USJ had the distinct honor of being the only university from a non-EU state to be invited to the European Commission's 2025 Translating Europe Forum in Brussels!
One of the 23 invited EMT students, Nour Kiwan spent three unforgettable days immersed in critical, thought-provoking discussions on clear language, translation quality, and the evolving role of human translators in the age of AI.
A major highlight was meeting the DGT’s Director-General, who presented the students with their certificates of attendance, and connecting with inspiring peers and with the incredible organizing team whose dedication made the event such a true success.
The experience was a powerful reminder to all 2,000 participants (students and professionals alike) on the importance of clarity, precision, and human touch in translation, because, as the forum’s theme so aptly puts it: 'Quality Matters'.
