As part of its educational mission and in line with its trilingual identity, Saint Joseph University of Beirut (USJ) continues to adapt to the demands of the employment market. In response to growing global and regional needs, USJ is expanding its academic offer by introducing additional programs taught in English across a wide range of disciplines, including medicine and health, engineering, technology and sciences, law, political sciences and business, arts, humanities, education and languages.
Healthcare professions are strengthened by the Bachelor in Speech and Language Therapy and the Master in Speech and Language Therapy, programs that equip students with the clinical, scientific, and interpersonal skills needed to treat diverse disorders. The Bachelor in Psychomotor Therapy equips students to assess and address psychomotor needs across the lifespan and implement adapted therapeutic and developmental programs. They also include the Master in Dental Medicine and the Master in Pharmaceutical Marketing.
Engineering and technology studies include the Bachelor of Engineering in Computer and Communications Engineering and the Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, as well as the Bachelor in Data Science available both Lebanon and Dubai. It also comprises the Master in Artificial Intelligence, that equips graduates with advanced theoretical and practical expertise in machine learning, deep learning, data science, and AI system development, preparing them to design and implement intelligent solutions across industries, the Master in Data Science, and the Master in biomarketing.
The field of economics and business is represented through the Bachelor in Economics, the Bachelor in Business Administration and Management, the Bachelor in Hospitality Management, the Bachelor in Insurance Science and the Master in Business Administration and Management designed to open doors to a wide range of professional opportunities, the Master in Marketing and Advertising, the Master in Computer Science for Business, the Master in Insurance Science, and the Master in Human Rights and Democratization.
At its Dubai branch, USJ offers a Bachelor of Law and a Master of Laws in Business Law, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of UAE law and preparing them for diverse legal career paths.
The Arts, Humanities and Languages section includes the Bachelor in Education and Master in Education that equip graduates with strong research-based, ethical, and leadership skills to design and evaluate educational programs, manage teams and institutions, lead change, and enhance communication and partnerships across diverse formal and non-formal educational contexts as well as the Teaching Diploma in the Disciplines Included in the Baccalaureate. There is also the Bachelor in Fashion Design and Pattern Drafting that develops students’ technical expertise, creativity, and marketing skills, enabling them to produce specialized collections, and the Master in Leadership and Human Resources Management aimed at preparing students to strategically manage human capital, drive organizational change, and foster effective leadership.
Among these programs are the Bachelor in Translation and the Master in Translation, the latter offered both in Lebanon and in Dubai, preparing graduates for careers in international companies, embassies, and translation offices as well as the Master in Interpretation.
USJ continues to expand its English-taught programs with additional degrees expected to be introduced in the coming years. With programs taught in English and a strong trilingual identity, USJ shows that the right languages can turn a degree into a global passport far beyond Lebanon.
