In Spring 2026, Saint Joseph University of Beirut (USJ) joins the University of Paderborn and the University of Lorraine in organizing the New Voices Talk Series within the international network New Voices on Women in the History of Philosophy.

This series explores communication not merely as a mode of expression, but as a form of power. From private correspondence and literary writing to public lectures, activism, and contemporary digital platforms, women have continually developed innovative ways to assert intellectual presence, negotiate legitimacy, and challenge exclusion. By situating contemporary digital phenomena within longer historical trajectories, the seminar examines how media, authority, and tradition intersect in shaping theological and philosophical discourse.

This partnership underscores USJ’s commitment to interdisciplinary research, sustained international collaboration, and the support of early-career scholars.
