Connected Counselors: Reinventing Student Guidance with AI

January - February 2026

In January and February 2026, the Student Information and Orientation Office in collaboration with CFP-USJ and the School of Social Work at USJ designed and delivered the Connected Counselors: Reinventing Student Guidance with AI training program at Beirut and North USJ Campuses. The program explored how artificial intelligence can support student counseling and guidance while preserving the essential human dimension of the profession. Participants were introduced to key AI principles and practical use cases, learning how to leverage AI tools to provide more personalized and reliable recommendations for students. The training also addressed ethical considerations related to AI, including privacy and responsible use, while emphasizing the importance of maintaining strong human relationships in student support. Through interactive discussions and practical applications, participants gained strategies to integrate AI into their professional practice while supporting counselor well-being and adapting to evolving educational environments.
