Bachelor of Laws students of Saint Joseph University Dubai attended on the 13^th of February 2026 the fifth session of the third ordinary term of the eighteenth legislative chapter of the Federal National Council, held at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi. They were also honored to meet Her Excellency Maryam Majed bin Thenaya, Second Deputy Speaker, who briefly presented to them the FNC's role as the fourth federal power in the UAE. On this occasion, Professor Nisrine Abiad, Director of Research at USJ Dubai Campus, offered to the FNC a few samples of the school of law’s recent publications about the UAE laws, including a research she has published in the UK on “The Federal National Council, a Key Institution in the ongoing Constitutional and political development of the UAE”.
