Scholarships offered by the Government of the Slovak Republic

In order to be granted the scholarship, the applicants must be able to master an appropriate level of the Slovak language

The Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Beirut informs that as of the 27th of March 2020, citizens of Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria can apply for scholarships provided by the Slovak Government for Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD degree studies in Slovakia for the academic year 2020/21. 

Applications for the scholarships have to be submitted electronically only using the following website: www.vladnestipendia.sk that contains detailed information about the conditions, criteria, fields of studies and documents that are required with the application.

The website is available in Slovak, English, French and Spanish and offers exact instructions on how to apply, specification of the scholarships, fees to be paid by the applicants themselves while in Slovakia as well as email and phone contacts for support in case of questions (in Slovak and English only).

In order to be granted the scholarship, the applicants must be able to master an appropriate level of the Slovak language. To reach such level, selected applicants can take a free preparatory intensive language course that starts from 02.09.2020 until 30.06.2021. The deadline for submitting the electronic applications is the 30th of  May 2020. Applications submitted after this date as well as incomplete ones without all the required documents will not be considered.
