The Office for Regional Development and External Programs created in September 2016 has grown to become the Center for Professional Training (CFP) at Université Saint-Joseph de Beyrouth (USJ). The Center has tasked itself with ensuring expertise and service of excellent standards, primarily from the University’s resources, in terms of Continuing Education (design and management of customized and scheduled continuing education sessions), Consultancy (needs analysis and impact studies, coaching and professional follow-up for different types of consultation), and Project Management (institutional development, creation of a continuing education department, support in course implementation, etc.). The CFP Center collaborates with the 33 Heads of Continuing Education across all USJ Institutes and Faculties. We aim to become a reference platform connecting the academic world with the professional world, a vector of innovative and sustainable change, by offering expertise at the academic, social, and professional levels. Several training projects have already been carried out with large local and international companies. These projects were based on the following themes: Soft skills (Communicating and Leading Change, Leadership, Team Building, Emotional Intelligence, Stress Management), Management (Project Management, Business Plan), Marketing (Strategic Negotiation, Strategic Marketing, Digital Business), Finance (Finance for Non-Finance Professionals), Technology (Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Ethical Hacking), as well as in-house training programs for representatives of all USJ Institutes and Faculties under the theme “Leadership and Ignatian Spirituality”. The Center’s approach is based on the search for innovative solutions.
