My experience at ETIB

Décembre 2020

Each level of our life is a new adventure and when I joined the ETIB’s family it was a whole new experience for me that I will never forget.

I still remember the first day I went to USJ as a new student; I was standing in front of that huge building excited and at the same time nervous not knowing how the two years of my master’s degree will go. The first golden rule you will learn at USJ is discipline. Discipline is what makes this university and ETIB so special; while you are walking in the department you will see wall clocks all over the place, courses start and finish on time, each minute counts, they don’t teach you only translation, they also teach you how to be professional, and that’s what I liked the most.

To be honest, I faced a lot of challenges during these two years; first of all, my master’s degree was different. I’m an English educated student taking courses in various languages and on many, many subjects. It needs hard work, reading, and practicing constantly to be able to have a huge background for a wide range of topics. In addition to that, we all faced challenges like the Lebanese revolution strikes and Covid-19 lockdown which forced all students to resume their courses online which increased our discipline, hard work, and the ability to work properly under pressure.

Each one of us has a particular story and unforgettable memories but what we share in common is the precious life and academic lessons that we learn at ETIB.
