Psychomotor Therapy is a paramedical field that explores the link between the mind (cognition, perception, emotions) and intentional movement. Psychomotor therapists are healthcare professionals who assess and treat developmental delays, psychomotor and learning disorders (e.g., ADHD, DCD), neurological or cognitive disabilities, mental health disorders, and communication disorders. Their evidence-based interventions use individualized assessments and therapeutic mediators such as relaxation, cognitive remediation, motor rehabilitation, sensory tools, personal expression, and technologies like biofeedback or virtual reality. Working across all ages and settings, they collaborate within multidisciplinary teams. At USJ, Psychomotor Therapy is part of the Faculty of Medicine via the Institute of Psychomotor Therapy.

150 years of "Francophonie" at USJ

usj-150-ans

This major intellectual event proposed an in-depth reflection on the Francophone identity of USJ, through the following themes:

  • USJ’s historical Francophone mission since its foundation in 1875
  • The challenges of linguistic and identity transmission
  • The future of USJ’s Francophone identity in a changing world

Rector Prof. Salim Daccache, SJ, took the floor to warmly thank the First Lady, the ministers, ambassadors, USJ alumni, and friends of the University who were present. He emphasized that this dinner was not merely a festive occasion but truly an ‘Evening of Hope,’ meant to strengthen the shared commitment to education and to reaffirm USJ’s unique mission and core vocation: to dedicate one-third of its budget to scholarships, so that no student is ever excluded for financial reasons.

By gathering professors, researchers, institutional bodies and international partners, USJ reaffirms its commitment to keeping Francophonie alive as a space of knowledge, innovation and intercultural dialogue.

This conference fell within a strategic dynamic, thus strengthening the position of USJ as a key actor of University Francophonie in Lebanon and within the broader international Francophone community.
