Description :

The work aims at studying the applications and behavior of a complex heterogen composite material : the titanium foam, which is highly innovative for severe and specific applications. In the first work, we want to perform an uniaxial compression experiment and a three points bending test for titanium foam, and compare the results with the FEA simulation model to approve the result of the Despande-mathematical model used in the Abaqus software. Next, we plan to use results for cases studies (as dental implants) in order to compare the behaviors between solid titanium and titanium foam in the FEA model.
