Sustainable concrete practices: characterization and environmental assessment

Description :

To achieve the main objective of this thesis, we propose the following procedure: 1- The first step is to carry out a literature review on Sustainable Concrete practices especially for developing countries, and to carry out a literature review on different sustainable materials and practices by analyzing the feasibility and the applicability of admixtures and procedures. 2- The second step is to identify the compressive strength losses and causes in order to find out the reason behind the loss of concrete strength using sustainable materials, and to propose the suitable improvement. 3- The third step is to define different solutions to enhance concrete sustainability adoption and to reduce the concrete impact on pollution. 4- The final procedure is to evaluate and asses the feasibility of the proposed Concrete mixes tested in the laboratory by encouraging the use of sustainable concrete in order to reduce pollution and to minimize its consequences.
