Marginal bone stability, esthetic outcome and success rate of two-piece Straumann® PURE Ceramic Implant in the aesthetic zone: a one year prospective clinical study on 10 single-tooth implant restorations.

Description :

To date, the clinical performance of zirconia implants needs to be proven with high quality prospective studies. Most of the conducted studies use one piece zirconia implants with cemented prosthetics. Therefore, the clinical evidence regarding two piece zirconia implants remains insufficient to attest their clinical use. This study will evaluate the viability, the short and eventually long-term success, as well as the clinical advantage in the anterior region of the Straumann® PURE Ceramic two-piece implant made of 100% Yttria-stabilized zirconium, recently launched in 2018, with the aim of establishing said implant as a realistic alternative for titanium implants when the latter are contra-indicated (mainly for cases in the aesthetic zone, also for patients with suspected allergy to titanium).
