Company Law

Corporate Law aims to develop knowledge and skills in the understanding of the general legal framework, to transcend a narrow focus on legal rules, to situate the study of Corporate Law in a wider interdisciplinary and comparative framework. It allows students to acquire in-depth knowledge of legal, economic, financial and comparative matters covering the entire life-cycle of a corporation. The objective of this course is to enable students to: - Recognize the essential elements of the legal system including the main sources of law. - Distinguish the legal aspect of public law that covers constitutional law, administrative law, criminal law, financial & tax law. - Distinguish the legal aspect of private law that covers civil law, succession law, property law, commercial law and labor law. - Recognize the legal personality and its components. - Identify and apply the appropriate legal rules related to the law of obligations, the formation of contract, the content, the effects & the breach of contract. - Recognize the contractual responsibility, the civil responsibility, the tort and criminal liability.
