Ethics and company culture

The objective of this course is to initiate students to the notions of ethics and culture within a business context. It allows students to understand the determinants of culture, the dimensions of culture as developed by Hofstede and GLOBE and exposes the different business cultures from around the world. Furthermore, it shows the importance of ethics under different angles in the company and the impact of its application on the development of organizations and introduces the students to the concept of corporate social responsibility. Throughout the course students are presented with case studies from international companies and are solicited to contribute to the material by giving real life examples.
