Family Health Champions

Description :

In an era where health misinformation poses a critical global threat, the Family Health Champions program emerges as a groundbreaking solution that fundamentally reimagines health education. This initiative transforms children into family health educators, creating an unprecedented model for health knowledge dissemination that bridges generational gaps and leverages existing family trust relationships. Based on an innovative technology, a hybrid digital-physical platform, the program shifts how health literacy is developed and sustained across communities worldwide. Guided by the PRECEDE-PROCEED model, a mixed-methods approach will be adopted. This approach will combine a series of techniques including a needs assessment survey, semi-structured interviews, participatory focus group discussions, consensus building and a quasi-experimental evaluation design, intended to inform the development of a hybrid digital-physical platform to be used by trained students to spread health awareness among their families. Our comprehensive approach uniquely addresses three critical global challenges: the rapid spread of health misinformation, the widening generational knowledge gap, and the need for sustainable health education models. Empowering children as change agents creates a multiplicative effect where each educated child becomes a catalyst for family and community health transformation.
