Exploring the Role of Sustainable Development goals: Environmental Benefits and Educational Equality in Driving Continuous Generative AI Use, a Multicultural Perspective

Description :

This article investigates the potential benefits of generative AI in contributing to sustainable development, particularly in the contexts of educational inequality and environmental sustainability. Further, the study explores the how these potential benefits could influence continuous use this channel while accounting for multicultural differences. The first research objective examines how perceived environmental benefits of generative AI influence users' intentions to continue using the technology over time. It explores whether individuals are more likely to engage with generative AI if they believe it supports sustainability goals, such as reducing carbon footprints or supporting green initiatives. The second objective focuses on the role of generative AI in addressing educational inequality, looking at how students perceive its potential to bridge gaps in access to education and improve learning outcomes. The study also explores how these perceptions affect students' intention to continue using generative AI platforms. The third objective is to explore the roles of social cues and perceived ethics as factors influencing the attitude and intention to adopt generative AI. Lastly, the article incorporates a multicultural analysis, aiming to highlight any differences in attitudes and usage patterns across various cultural contexts, providing insights into how cultural factors may shape users’ engagement with generative AI. By addressing these research questions, the article aims to offer a comprehensive understanding of how generative AI can drive sustainable development and how its continuous use can be influenced by educational and environmental factors, while considering cultural diversity in its adoption.
