With over 30 years of experience in communications, event management, and fundraising, Cynthia-Maria Ghobril Andrea has been leading Fondation USJ since July 2020, driving campaigns to support education and healthcare.
She founded and directed the USJ Publications and Communication Office (1995-2020), strengthening the University’s brand and visibility. She played a key role in establishing the Board of Directors of Fondation USJ and forged strategic partnerships in North America and Europe to expand donor support. She also serves on the board of Saint Joseph University Foundation, Beirut, Inc., a recognized 501(c)(3) organization in the United States.
A strong advocate for university philanthropy, she is an active member of international organizations such as the Association Française des Fundraisers (AFF) and the CASE Institute, regularly contributing to fundraising conferences.
She holds an MBA from USJ and Université Paris Dauphine, a Master in Sociology and Public Relations from USJ, a Professional Diploma in Communication from CELSA-Paris IV, and a diploma in Mediation from USJ. In 2010, the French Republic awarded her the insignia of Knight in the Order of Academic Palms in recognition of her contributions to education and philanthropy.
