Gilbert GHOSTINE (FGM, 1982)

Gilbert Ghostine is an accomplished and motivated business leader with almost forty years of global experience in the B2C and B2B sectors. He is known for fostering sustainable, profitable growth in both public and private companies, and for successfully leading complex M&A transactions.

From 2014 to 2023, Gilbert led Firmenich through a period of strategic transformation, culminating in its merger with DSM to create a global leader in beauty, nutrition and wellness. Earlier in his career, he spent two decades with Diageo in senior positions on four continents, gaining in-depth expertise of consumer goods and global markets.

Gilbert Ghostine is currently Chairman of the Board of Sandoz and sits on the Board of Danone, where he is a member of the Audit and CSR Committees, as well as on the Board of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, where he chairs the Remuneration and Nomination Committee.

Gilbert Ghostine holds a master's degree in business administration from the Université Saint-Joseph in Lebanon, and attended the Harvard Business School's Advanced Studies Program. He has lived in Geneva since 2014, but continues to actively support USJ through his foundation.
