H.E. Walid Daouk, Esq. holds a degree in Lebanese and French law from USJ and has undertaken studies in business management at Beirut University College. As a lawyer specializing in commercial, civil, corporate, and property law, in 2005, he was appointed Vice Chairman of the International Affairs Commission and a member of the Arbitration Commission at the Beirut Bar Association. In 2011, he served as Minister of Information and Acting Minister of Justice.
With extensive legal expertise, Daouk advises multinational and Lebanese companies across various fields. He also serves on the boards of multiple companies in Lebanon and abroad. From 2001 to 2004, he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Council for Development and Reconstruction of Lebanon (CDR), and since 1994, he has served as the Commissioner of the Lebanese Government at the Beirut Stock Exchange.
His dedication to social causes is reflected in his involvement with several nonprofit organizations. He has served on the boards of the Lebanese and International Federation for University Sport (1981 – 1991); Lebanese Red Cross (1994 – 1997), AJIALOUNA (since 1995), La Sagesse (2005 – 2006), Collège Louise Wegman (2005 – 2023), Dar Al Aytam Al Islamiyah (since 2005), International College (since 2009), and USJ (since 2012).
