The Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation for Education (AGFE) OLSP scholarship deadline for the academic year Fall-20/Spring-21 is right around the corner.

Submit your AGFE and ASU online applications by June 7th, 2020 at 1:00 pm (local time in Dubai) to be considered for the Fall-20/Spring-21 intake.

The Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation for Education is a privately-funded philanthropic initiative based in Dubai, which aims to support underserved, high-achieving Arab youth by providing access to educational opportunities.

The Al Ghurair Open Learning Scholars Program is offering full scholarships to enroll in one of +30 online master's degrees at Arizona State University (ASU), which has been consistently ranked the US's most innovative university.

The funded programs are in the fields of :

  • engineering,
  • technology,
  • health,
  • education, and more that are not readily available in the region.


Please note that the deadline for submitting the AGFE online application is June 7th at 1:00 pm (local time in Dubai).

AGFE’s application is fully online and free, but it should be noted that students are expected to apply to ASU as well as the scholarship.

Please note that there is an application fee of 90$ for the ASU application, but AGFE applicants will not have to pay this.

What is the Open Learning Scholars Program at ASU?

Students who qualify for the Program at Arizona State University will have access to :

  1. Full scholarship at ASU - covers all tuition fees and other mandatory university fees for one of the selected online master’s degrees. Prerequisite courses are not covered.
  2. Access to a network of Al Ghurair Scholars studying in the same program
  3. Academic advising, career counseling, and mentorship through ASU
  4. Promotion - opportunities to be featured in our communications, website, and social media

Scholars’ responsibilities

  1. Maintaining a 3.0 cumulative GPA throughout the program
  2. Completing the master’s degree within 3 years
  3. Being responsive to communication with the Foundation throughout the scholarship period and 10 years afterwards.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Be an Arab citizen who does not have another non-Arab citizenship
  • Have a 3.0 or 85% GPA
  • 29years old or younger(students who are 30 years old or older are not  eligible)
  • Have financial need and be able to demonstrate this
  • Have completed your undergraduate degree (but not completed a master’s degree)
  • Preference will be given to applicants who have lived in the Arab World for at  least 12 years of their life
