English Placement Test

Test description

The test is made of three parts:
Part 1:              Listening comprehension
Part 2:              Reading Comprehension
Part 3:              Essay Writing

In Part 1, there are 4 sections; you have to listen to the instructions and follow them carefully. All questions are multiple-choice.
In Part 2, you have to read 3 texts and answer the related multiple-choice comprehension questions.
In Part 3, you have to read the prompt and develop it in an opinion essay.

According to how you do, you will be placed in one of the following levels:
Level A:          ESP English for Specific Purposes. In this course, you will be exposed to English related to your major of study.
Level B:           Upper Intermediate.
Level C:           Intermediate.
Level D:          Lower Intermediate.
Level E:           Basic

In Levels B, C, D and E, you will learn general English. You need an average of 50/100 to pass from one level to the other.
