SDG 2 - Zero Hunger


The Arab States region relies heavily on food imports.

Agricultural productivity is low in many countries, and agricultural practices are often unsustainable, diminishing the long-term availability and the affordability of food.

Water scarcity, climate change and increasing urbanization exacerbate the situation.

Hunger and undernourishment are rising, especially as a result of conflict, but pockets of deep chronic hunger are also found across the region.
