Saint Joseph University Dubai is looking to recruit a Librarian/Administrative assistant. The position is to be filled starting September 1, 2025.

Required Skills:

• Academic level: Bachelor's degree or Higher diploma in humanities or social sciences, library management and archiving, business administration, or any other relevant field.
• Good level in English/ and Arabic Languages (spoken and written); French is a plus.
• Good typing skills in Arabic and English.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online tools.
• Excellent Organizational skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Energetic.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of the academic/university sectors.

Job description includes:

• Day-to-day management (including filing and referencing) of the library and book borrowing.
• Filing, cataloguing, and storing of new books.
• Integrating all resources on Koha, the Library management system.
• Initiating faculty and students on access to available online resources.
• Typing, filing, and document archiving.
• Answer the university’s central line and screen calls.
• Tests and exams proctoring and providing support in the exam process as requested.
• Organizing the printing and distribution of course materials and other documents to students.
• Conduct research and collect data as requested.
• Assist the Manager for financial and administrative affairs in administrative tasks such as making travel arrangements for faculty members visiting the Dubai Campus, tracking and supplying university goods and materials, and other relevant tasks as needed.
