History of the Faculty of Law at the Mother Campus

The Faculty of Law and Political Science was established in Beirut in 1913. It is the oldest law school in Lebanon. The founders of this college focused particularly on following up on the ancient cultural heritage of the Beirut Law School, which was established in the third century A.D and was the most famous law school in the ancient world alongside the Law School in Rome and Constantinople. In view of the importance of this school, Beirut was given the name "BERITUS NUTRIX LEGUM".

This college promotes multilingualism by delivering courses in Arabic, French and English languages, as well as adopting cultural diversity by providing its students with the necessary culture in Lebanese Law, French law, Anglo-Saxon law, European law and Arab countries’ law.
