Articulation and motor speech disorders

This TU is part of the bachelor’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy, in semester 3. It is mandatory. It allows the students to learn about articulation and motor speech disorders, their classifications and symptoms as well as their underlying genetic and neurological causes. Following this course, the students will be able to assess, diagnose, and treat articulation and motor speech disorders as well as to differentiate them from other similar disorders. This TU contributes to the development of the following competencies: 1/ Clinical approach: Conduct interventions for screening and assessments in Speech and language Therapy within a clinical approach. 2/ Collaboration: Collaborate with different stakeholders in order to establish appropriate intervention adapted to the context and suited to each individual. 3/ Research: Engage actively in a clinical research process in order to better improve linguistic knowledge as well as to strengthen Speech and Language Therapy in Lebanon.
